On the 1st of January 2025 Poland took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from Hungary. Over the next six months, over 300 official meetings are planned in our country, including 22 informal councils with the participation of EU ministers. The official inauguration of the Presidency will take place on January 3.

As part of the cooperation between the Catholic University of Lublin, The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and the European Parliament, the European Parliament Office in Poland is planning joint activities, including media training, study visits and debates with the participation of young people.

The Presidency is accompanied by the slogan “Security, Europe”.
